Refund policy

At Thread & Maple, we are committed to ensuring the best possible experience for you. If you're not satisfied with your order, we will gladly accept returns or exchanges within 45 days of your order date.

How to Start a Return or Exchange

Simply e-mail us at support@threadandmaple.com and include your name, order number and the items you'd like to exchange/return. You can find your order number in your order confirmation e-mail or on the orders page of your T&M account - either log in or create an account with the email address you used to place your purchase. We will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that you are responsible for return shipping costs as well as the shipping costs of your original purchase, unless we made a mistake with your order or the item is being returned is defective.

Eligibility & Exceptions
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging. Certain types of items cannot be returned, like seconds items, custom products, special orders or personalized items. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on final sale items or gift cards.

Yarn
We photograph our tools and yarn in natural light to portray them as accurately as we can. Please note that some computer monitors display colours differently. Also, as our yarn is hand-dyed, each batch is unique, so some variations can be expected. If you're not happy with your yarn order, we will accept returns or exchanges, as long as the skeins are in their original form.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Please note that you are responsible for exchange shipping costs, unless we made a mistake with your order or the item is being returned is defective.

Damages and issues
We take care and hand-pack each order ourselves, however, as we are a small growing business, mistakes can happen. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take several business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
